About

Hello! I’m Sadie and I’m a natural fiber enthusiast living with my family in the PNW. Although I’ve dabbled in many fiber crafts throughout my life, it wasn’t until our first baby was born that I really took to creating and realized the important role it had in my life. Not only are knitting and sewing meditative practices that I find joy in on a daily basis, they also give me the chance to make things for my family using natural fibers. I credit both my grandmother and my great-grandmother for my creative drive. They were prolific knitters and sewists and I often feel connected to them when I create. Knitting and sewing are my passion and I’ve created Salmonberry Knits as a little place to keep track of my fiber journey. Thank you for following along!

Properly practiced, knitting soothes the troubled spirit, and it doesn’t hurt the untroubled spirit either.                      -Elizabeth Zimmerman
